Monday, Jun 22, 2009The school had one confirmed case of someone having the AH1N1 (previously known as the swine flu) virus so they had to shut the school down. We’ll be back in school on July 1. Scary. I’ve been seeing a lot of people wearing face masks as a precautionary measure. I can’t imagine myself wearing one, though… except if they look super cute like these:

I freaked out when I found out about swine flu invading our small city. I get pissed off when the guard at our school stopped me and other students from entering the school, we had to undergo screening first.

Aww, the monkey mask is cute. I’m aaalways getting sick. Generally, if something’s really bugging me, I’ll see my doc for some meds… I’ve never really given natural remedies a shot, so who knows if they’d work for me.
Wow, that’s scary! People are all saying forget about the whole H1N1 stuff, but yet, it’s still spreading! I’d be cautious myself.

The swine flu worry has definitely died down, but I think people really need to realize that if they are in danger, they just need to treat this flu like any other flu if caught soon enough.
I’m really not that worried by h1n1. I don’t think it’s that serious. Basta mataas ang immune system mo, you’ll be fine. Mutated flu lang naman yon di’ba? Pero we still should be cautious.

The A(H1N1)virus is very alarming! Kaya ingat lagi, ate. Mag vitamins and stay away from crowded places, and of course, don’t forget to wash hands always. And the masks, everyone would wear those cute stuff! I’d go for the monkey print. Heheh.

As crazy as it sounds, the whole fear behind the swine flu is gone for me. I am not sure why, but I guess life is too short to worry about being sick and all that stuff. I can imagine how scary it is to know your school had someone affected by it though. I hope he/she gets better and have a speedy recovery!
Those masks are perfect for pediatricians looking after children. I think it will brighten up the kid’s face and make hospitals look less scary.

What’s actually really scary is that face masks are useless. Viruses are SUPER small and can get through the mask. :/ Yeah, that freaked me out when I heard it from my microbiology teacher haha

I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. The only people likely to die from it are the very young, the very old, and those with compromised immune systems. These are the people who need to be wearing face masks. The rest of us need to avoid coughing in other peoples faces lest they have a heart attack…

Mm… the last time I got *really* sick was probably about four months ago. The cough I had then, I still have now.
It depends on how ill I am. Like, something small, I’ll just let it go, but I usually end up at least going to the doctor and seeing what they have to say.

That is so scary! H1N1 spreaded so fast, you never think that it will ever get that close to you. Those are pretty cool face masks. The last time I was sick was over a year and a half ago. It lasted about 2 weeks. I kicked the sickness without any meds.

We had an issue with our client yesterday about AH1N1. He requested delivery of his household goods from the US today and yet we learned that his two kids are positive of the virus. We advised to re- schedule the delivery for another week but he was just so unhappy about it. So what we did is go ahead but let our crew wear protective masks and bring disinfectant.

Swine flu is still a big deal in the Philippines? Looks like everyone is in panic nowadays huh? You guys shouldn’t actually. Here in states, swine flu is just an old news. =)
That’s scary. I heard that the masks don’t actually protect again the flu either. But the monkey one is kind of cute. I guess better to be safe then sorry? maybe.

* Just last month I guess, but when you say got very sick to the point of getting hospitalized? It was march of last year. :]
Are you dependent on medicines or do you prefer healing the natural way?
* When it comes to headache, I really depend on medicines, but to fever and other, I try to depend on healing the natural way, and just plain rest.
How’s your day so far?
* It’s fine. I’m sure it’s gonna be a super bum day ahead of me. :p

Around December of last year. I don’t get sick often.

No I won’t normally take medications unless I absolutely need to. Stems from my childhood where everyone who had perscription pills gave them to everyone else and I didn’t think it was right. Everyone I grew up with was so dependent on medication it was sickening.

1.) sick as in cold sick? That was so long ago. Over a year.
2.) honestly, I have no idea. I think it’s a bit of both. I’ll use medicines but idk sometimes I just let it take its course.
3.) Well I slept in late for once so I’m quite happy with my day so far. I’ve only been up for 2 hours of it. lol
