Wednesday, Nov 4, 2009I know i’ve neglected this blog for a couple of weeks. I just enjoyed my “semestral break” a bit too much. Note the quotation marks - I shouldn’t be enjoying coz at this point I should be working hard on my thesis! Haha.
You know how sometimes you tend to buy stuff which you don’t really need? The mere fact that its cuteness and/or uniqueness caught your attention just made you buy it in an instant. That’s how I am and I believe that retail therapy never fails to give me that temporary bliss despite the challenging situation i’m in right now. Heh.

Retail therapy never fails! When I’m in a horrible mood over some computer science program that I just can’t get to work, a little trip to the mall always cheers me back up!
I’m attracted to anything Disney. It just puts me in a wonderful frame of mind seeing some kid’s toy with a princess on it or something. So I surround myself with Disney things, some frivolous, but cute! I also like having props from movies, so I have things like a Time Turner from Harry Potter, just to amuse me.
Seeing as I work at another coffee chain, if my coworkers found out I drank something from Starbucks I’d be skinned alive! So it’s been over a year, lol.
And regular milk or mint chocolate is wonderful, especially with fruit flavors.

Aww. Thank you! My only issue with being a writer is the money. They usually don’t make a lot, and I want to be able to support my family as well as myself. I was really inspired for my Twitter paper though. It was a fun paper to write. I’m currently writing a paper on photo editing. I’m already on my fourth page, and I’ve only typed 3 paragraphs

When I was younger, I always used to buy a bunch of stuff with my own money. Like things from A.C. Moore (an arts and crafts store) or just some toys. I’d use it for awhile, but I’d obviously get bored with it after awhile. It sucked. Oh, and I bought A LOT of games. Like Gamecube and Nintendo DS games x). I still have them, it was only like 3-4 years ago. Lmao, ohh those were the days.

Lol, it’s so good to know that other people buy cute stuff like that just on impulse - doesn’t make me feel so silly for doing the exact same thing myself! Your goodies look awesome, I especially love the “delete” eraser - I so want one of them now! And I actually have one of those ice-cream tub lip balms, though I think mine is vanilla.
We don’t have a bazillion Starbucks all over the place like in the USA (boo to you Australia!), so the only times I get to go there is if I’m in the middle of town, which is usually once a fortnight on average.

I rarely goes to Starbucks for a drink. I usually order takeaway for their drinks.
I really like the eraser, lip balm and watch. What a clever watch! I’d love something like that since I’m obsessed with matching my accessories with my clothes. And strawberry lip balm. What can I say but YUM! One of my favorites when it comes to lip balms.

I love buying random things like you aswell (: The “China Town” in my city is loaded with stores that sell all this cute stuff (: I tend to collect/make origami stars, they are so pretty in jars at the end of all that work. The last time i went to starbucks was actually last week, I got myself a delicious pumpkin spice latte <33 mmmm My favorite chocolate is mint, or mint and milk chocolate together.. also caramel and milk chocolate. Ghiradelli has some GOOOOD caramel chocolates!!

hoarding is sometimes fun… not to the point that you can’t walk around your house anymore bc of your purchases.. but a mini-hoarder. i love looking through my junk cus i sometimes discover things i’ll find use for that i couldn’t whenever i bought it. it’s, somewhat, useful to be a hoarder… sometimes =) retail therapy is L.O.V.E. especially at devastating times. :]
